I am a third year PhD student in Theology and Religion, where I focus on the thought of Georges Florovsky (1893-1979) and Henri de Lubac (1896-1991). In particular, I am looking at the methodological priority of Christocentrism in the thought of Florovsky and de Lubac as a way in which these figures respectively proclaim Orthodoxy and Catholicism in modernity. My academic work is informed by my own ecclesial commitments. I am presently working towards ordination to the priesthood in the American Carptho-Russian Orthodox tradition (Ecumenical Patriarchate). My research, therefore, has implications for my own ministerial efforts to seek ecumenical dialogue, understanding, and unity in an increasingly pluralistic world.
