A tropical ecologist at heart, I have broad interests across ecology and conservation biology. With a background rooted in molecular biology, I have used molecular techniques to understand the processes which underpin population dynamics and the causes of individual variation in ageing rates. Other projects have involved using novel techniques to understand the motives of conservation volunteers and assessing the value of degraded habitat within the Amazon Basin.
