I have been involved in the EFL field since 2003. My teaching career has mainly been associated with English language schools within the U.K.  I briefly taught at a Saudi primary and secondary school. I have specialised in preparing students for IELTS and headed taylor-made learning workshops for Saudi Arabian women in Exeter.   I hold a Master of TESOL from the University of Exeter, a B.A Honours degree in Law and Politics from London Guildhall University.  I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education (EdD) in TESOL.

I am particularly interested in critical teaching in TESOL, effects of English as a global language, use of L1 in L2 lessons and particularly the identity of Muslim women and their challenges in the EFL classroom.
