I was a part-time distance PhD Education student at the University of Exeter from 2017 to 2022. Throughout my doctorial studies I worked full-time as the Student Development and Tutorial Manager at the University Centre South Devon (a college HE provider) including two-days a week as a psychology of education teacher on levels 4-7 courses. I continue in this role where my teaching, research and scholarship focuses on special educational needs, inclusion and social justice, and positive psychology in the support of learning and development. I lead on the University Centre's implementation and evaluation of the Access and Participation Plan, was the lead author for the Teaching and Excellence Framework 2023 submission, and am a key member of the University Centre leadership team.

Prior to teaching I worked as a political campaigns manager and children's rights advocate for Unicef and Oxfam, and a specialist teaching assistant for chilren with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. This passion for social justice, continues to be reflected in both my teaching and research as both focus on the use of psychology to promote inclusion and well-being for learners.
