James Arthur is a PhD Student at the University of Exeter in Applied Differential Geometry, Geometric Mechanics and Numerical Analysis applied to sloshing problems under Dr Hamid Alemi Ardakani. 

They hold an undergraduate degree from the University of Exeter in Mathematical Sciences (First Class Honours) and have a Masters in Mathematical Modelling and Scientific Computing from St Edmund Hall, University of Oxford.

Alongside their PhD they work as a Mathematical Communicator, spreading mathematics to the masses. They focus on making Geometry, Topology and their intersections with Algebra more approachable and present talks and workshops all over the country.
