I am a third year PhD student in the Graduate School of Education, University of Exeter. My particular research focus is looking into MEd TESOL students' cognition, and exploring their future professional identities. This interest evolved from my previous education and work experiences. I am a Kuwait University graduate majored in English linguistics and literature. I obtained MEd TESOL degree from the University of Exeter in 2017, and Master of Science in Educational Research from Exeter in 2018.

I have worked as an EFL teacher in Kuwaiti intermediate public schools for nine years, and three years of those as head of an English department. I have one-year teaching experience as a teacher assistant in Fairfield University, CT, USA, teaching oral Arabic classes to undergraduate students. This is as part of the Fulbright Teaching Assistant Fellowship in 2010/2011.
