I hold a BA in Anglo-Saxon Civilisation, Literature and Linguistics, and an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Mostaganem (Algeria). After that, I joined the University of Exeter in 2017 to pursue my PhD. I first completed my MSc in educational research in 2018 and then my PhD in 2022.

The research project explored research methodology teaching and learning approaches and students' experiences of writing MA education dissertations within the Algerian tertiary education system. A particular focus of this research involves interrogating issues of power, voice and the reproduction of the social world in the classroom using critical pedagogy and critical theory as frameworks.

I am now working as the learning skills international student coordinator at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and as an associate for the MA Education Consultancy.

During my time in academia, I have been involved in different institutional and national research funded projects, and I co-founded the  Decolonial Dialogues.
